Newark Man Accused of Possessing Cocaine
Gregory Naschke was arrested after laboratory tests confirmed that a substance confiscated during a traffic stop was cocaine, according to authorities.
A Newark man was arrested this morning following a months-long investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office into alleged drug possession.
According to deputies, Gregory C. Naschke, 37, was taken into custody after lab results confirmed that a substance seized during a September 5, 2024, traffic stop in the Town of Williamson tested positive for cocaine.
It is reported that Naschke was a passenger in the vehicle when deputies conducted the stop and discovered the suspected substance.
Following independent laboratory analysis, which verified the presence of cocaine, Naschke was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in the court on January 29th in the Town of Williamson.
