The Great New York State Fair is now accepting applications for social media influencers seeking to cover the event, which runs from Wednesday, August 20, through Labor Day, Monday, September 1, 2025. Influencers interested in providing promotional content, blog coverage, or social media engagement can request admission and parking credentials through an official application process.
The Fair’s influencer credentials are designed for individuals or organizations planning to cover aspects of the event through social media, as well as those working on assignments for national publications and media outlets. These credentials will be bar-coded for scanning at the entrance gates and are available in both physical and electronic formats.
Influencers seeking credentials must provide details about their social media platforms, audience reach, and content focus. Applicants are also required to outline their intended coverage plans and specify whether they need single-day or full 13-day admission passes. Full Fair passes are reserved for those covering the event on a daily or near-daily basis, while single-day passes are recommended for occasional visits.
Parking credentials are also available, with priority given to vehicles carrying equipment for coverage or individuals with mobility challenges. Parking within the Red Lot, located on the Fairgrounds, is limited, and carpooling among production crews is strongly encouraged. Approval of parking requests will be determined at the Fair’s discretion, and having a pass does not guarantee a parking space.
To receive credentials, approved applicants can opt for pickup at the Fair’s press office or request shipment at their own expense. The Fair’s press office will finalize distribution in late July and early August, with no mailing available after August 11 to ensure timely delivery.
Social media influencers granted credentials must adhere to the Fair’s policies, including restrictions on using passes for non-work purposes. Credentials cannot be sold, transferred, or used in giveaways. Additionally, the Fair reserves the right to share content posted by credentialed influencers, with credit given to the original creator.
More details and the official request form can be found through the New York State Fair’s press office.
