New Memoir Chronicles Irish Woman’s Journey to America

A new memoir, From There to Here, tells the story of Patricia Lambe, a Dublin-born entrepreneur who immigrated to the United States in the 1980s. The book, published by Atticus Publishing, provides a personal account of Lambe’s experiences as an undocumented immigrant while building a career and raising a family.

Lambe, who grew up in Athy, County Kildare, was the daughter of a local publican. She pursued a career in esthetics, training at Bronwyn Conroy’s beauty school in Dublin before working in high-end salons in the Hamptons and Palm Beach. While achieving professional success, she also navigated the challenges of life as an undocumented immigrant for over two decades.
