Naples Man Charged with DWI After Vehicle Found in Ditch
Mr. Hey was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or higher, and moving from a lane unsafely.
A Naples man was arrested on February 14 after Yates County Sheriff's deputies found his vehicle in a ditch on Upper Hill Road in the Town of Middlesex.
According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 8:58 p.m. and observed a vehicle off the roadway. The driver, identified as 73-year-old Ronald M. Hey, was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Following the tests, Mr. Hey was transported to the Yates County Jail for a chemical test.
Mr. Hey was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or higher, and moving from a lane unsafely. He was released with tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Middlesex Court at a later date.
