A 26-year-old Middlesex man was arrested by Ontario County Sheriff’s deputies on February 22 following a traffic stop on County Road 11 in Gorham.
Authorities identified the driver as James A. Rowe, who was pulled over at approximately 3:35 p.m. During the investigation, deputies determined Rowe was operating his vehicle while intoxicated. He was taken into custody and transported to the Ontario County Jail, where a chemical breath test reportedly showed a blood alcohol content of .18%, more than twice the legal limit.
Rowe was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and was also issued tickets for speeding. He was later released to a sober third party.
Rowe is scheduled to appear in Gorham Town Court at a later date to respond to the charges.
