Marion Man Arrested on Family Court Warrant for Unpaid Child Support

A Marion resident was taken into custody on Tuesday night in connection with a family court warrant for unpaid child support.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office, 41-year-old Joshua David Lawliss was arrested at the Wayne County Jail on March 25 at approximately 9:13 p.m. The warrant, issued by Ontario County Family Court on March 14, stemmed from allegations that Lawliss had failed to meet child support obligations.

Following his arrest, Lawliss was transported to the Ontario County Jail, where he is expected to await arraignment.

Authorities did not release any additional information regarding the case.
