MANHUNT: Police Search for Binghamton Double Homicide Suspect, Considered Armed and Dangerous

Authorities are searching for 50-year-old Scott C. Mitchell, who is wanted in connection with a double homicide in Binghamton, New York. Mitchell is believed to possibly be on foot in the DeLand, Florida, area and is considered armed and dangerous.
According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, Mitchell may have initially been traveling by vehicle but is now on foot. Local law enforcement, including DeLand police, began searching for him on Tuesday. The sheriff’s office posted an alert on social media, urging the public to exercise caution and report any sightings of Mitchell immediately.
Mitchell is wanted in connection with the deaths of Daniel McCloe, 58, and Marshall VanOven, 55, who were reported missing on February 3. Their bodies were discovered on February 5 at a private residence on Binghamton’s west side.
Binghamton police have been investigating the case and believe Mitchell had a personal connection with the victims. Authorities have described the three as acquaintances or friends.
