A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Lake-to-Lake Road and State Route 14A early Monday morning resulted in injuries and a traffic citation, according to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded to the scene around 6:51 a.m. on February 17 after receiving reports of an accident involving a black Honda SUV and a Casella roll-off dump truck. Authorities determined that the Honda, driven by 27-year-old William P. Driscoll of Stanley, was traveling east on Lake-to-Lake Road when it approached the intersection with State Route 14A.
According to the report, Driscoll attempted to stop but lost control of his vehicle due to snowy road conditions. The SUV slid through the intersection and collided with the dump truck, operated by 58-year-old Derrick F. Kline of Lyons.
Emergency responders transported Driscoll to Strong Memorial Hospital via Stanley-Hall-Gorham Ambulance, where he was treated for a fractured left leg. No other injuries were reported.
Deputies cited Driscoll for driving at a speed not reasonable for conditions. He is scheduled to appear in Seneca Town Court at a later date.
