Man Charged With Felony Theft After Hopewell Lowe’s Larceny Investigation

A man from Burdett, Schuyler County has been charged with fourth-degree grand larceny following an investigation by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say Timmy Bauman II, 47, was arrested on February 5, 2025, in connection with an alleged theft that took place on November 20, 2024, at a Lowe’s store in Hopewell. Investigators determined that Bauman allegedly selected multiple items and left the store without making a payment.

Following the investigation, Bauman was issued an appearance ticket and is expected to appear in Hopewell Town Court at a later date.
