A 22-year-old Hornellsville man has been charged with felony assault following an alleged attack involving a baseball bat, according to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested Joel V. Burdett, of Bald Hill Road, on March 17 after investigating a report of an assault. Authorities allege that Burdett intentionally caused injury to another person using a weapon, which was reported to be a baseball bat.
Burdett was charged with second-degree assault, a class D felony. He was arraigned and subsequently released.
