A Lyons woman was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated after an investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies took Amanda Tirado-Jacob, 41, of Lembke Road, into custody following a civilian driving complaint. Authorities allege that Tirado-Jacob crossed the centerline and exhibited inconsistent speeds while driving.
According to the sheriff’s office, Tirado-Jacob underwent Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which she failed, and later took a chemical breath test that reportedly showed a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .15%—nearly twice the legal limit.
Tirado-Jacob was processed and released. She is scheduled to appear in Newark Village Court on April 2 at 10 a.m. to respond to the charges.
