A Lyons resident has been charged following two alleged thefts investigated by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested 26-year-old Joseph Gonzalez of Montezuma Street on April 1 after investigating a reported larceny at the Quicklees convenience store in Lyons. Authorities allege that Gonzalez took several items from the store, including ArmorAll wipes, Black Ice air fresheners, and two BeatBox wine coolers.
While taking Gonzalez into custody, deputies say they discovered grass seed on his person, which was reportedly linked to a separate theft from Santelli Lumber.
Gonzalez was charged with petit larceny in connection with each incident. He was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Lyons Town Court on April 15 at 8:30 a.m.
