Lyons Man Arrested on Weapons and Alcohol Charges During Newark Traffic Stop
Deputies allege that the man was found in possession of metal knuckles, consuming an alcoholic beverage, and not wearing his seatbelt.
A traffic stop in the Village of Newark led to the arrest of a Lyons man on multiple charges, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities reported that deputies arrested Morgan M. Case, 21, of Montezuma Street, Lyons, on January 16, 2025. Case was a passenger in a vehicle when law enforcement conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, deputies allege that Case was found in possession of metal knuckles and was consuming an alcoholic beverage.
As a result, Case was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, Open Container, and a Seat Belt Violation.
Following his arrest, Case was taken to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing and later released with an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in Newark Village Court on February 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. to answer the charges.
