A Lyons man has been arrested following an investigation into a robbery that took place at a local gas station in November 2024, according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
Brett D. Evans, 29, of Franklin Street in Lyons, was taken into custody on charges of second-degree robbery and petit larceny. Authorities allege that Evans, along with an unidentified accomplice, entered the Kwik Fill Gas Station on Forgham Street in Lyons on November 18, 2024, and demanded money from the clerk. Investigators say Evans yelled at the clerk before forcibly removing the store’s cash drawer and fleeing with his accomplice.
Evans was transported to the Wayne County Jail and was scheduled for CAP arraignment on March 14 at 7 p.m.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not released further details regarding the alleged accomplice.
