Lyons Man Arrested for Possession of Stolen Skis

A Lyons man has been charged with criminal possession of stolen property following an investigation that began in Monroe County.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, detectives, with assistance from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, arrested 45-year-old Brian G. Lazzar of Catherine Street. The charge stems from a reported theft in Perinton, where a pair of skis was allegedly stolen from a vehicle parked in a residential driveway.

On February 25, investigators from both sheriff’s offices located Lazzar at his residence, where he was found in possession of the stolen skis, authorities said. He was subsequently arrested and issued an appearance ticket for criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree.

Lazzar is scheduled to appear in the Town of Lyons Court at a later date to respond to the charge.
