Lyons Man Arrested Following Domestic Incident Investigation
According to the sheriff’s office, 51-year-old Jason L. Morahan was involved in a dispute with an adult family member, during which he allegedly struck the individual.
A Lyons man was taken into custody following an investigation into a reported domestic incident on February 22, 2025, according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities responded to a 911 call on Saturday afternoon regarding a domestic disturbance at a residence on Broad Street in the Town of Lyons. According to the sheriff’s office, 51-year-old Jason L. Morahan was involved in a dispute with an adult family member, during which he allegedly struck the individual. The incident reportedly took place in the presence of a teenager.
Following the investigation, Morahan was charged with second-degree harassment, endangering the welfare of a child, and aggravated family offense. The latter charge stems from a prior conviction of second-degree criminal contempt in 2022, officials said.
This is not the first time Morahan has faced similar allegations. In December 2020, he was charged with harassment and endangering the welfare of a child following an incident in which he was accused of pushing a female victim while in the presence of her 12-year-old child. The outcome of that case is unknown. Charges represent allegations and do not imply guilt.
Morahan was processed at the Wayne County Sheriff's Office and held for centralized arraignment.
