John’s Crazy Socks to Celebrate World Down Syndrome Day with Two-Day Event, New Store Opening
In honor of World Down Syndrome Day on March 21, John’s Crazy Socks, a company known for its commitment to inclusion and charitable giving, will host a two-day event featuring festivities, a store opening, and presentations from its founders.
The celebration, set for March 21 and 22 at the company’s Farmingdale headquarters, will include games, food, giveaways, a sock fashion show, and a special ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the grand opening of the John’s Crazy Socks Warehouse Store. The store will offer customers an opportunity to shop in person and meet co-founder John Cronin.
“For years, customers have asked us to open a warehouse store, and we decided there is no better time than World Down Syndrome Day to do it,” said Mark Cronin, co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks.
John Cronin, who has Down syndrome, co-founded the company with his father, Mark, and serves as Chief Happiness Officer. Since its inception, John’s Crazy Socks has donated over $800,000 to charitable causes, including the Special Olympics and the National Down Syndrome Society. A portion of every sale supports these organizations.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both March 21 and 22 at 110 Bi-County Boulevard, Suite 120, Farmingdale, NY. The ribbon-cutting for the new warehouse store is scheduled for noon on March 21.
John and Mark Cronin will also host talks during the event, sharing insights about their mission to promote inclusion and create job opportunities for people with differing abilities.
