Ithaca Woman Arrested for DWI Following Crash in Schuyler County

A woman from Ithaca is facing multiple charges, including Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), following a personal injury accident earlier this month in Schuyler County.

The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office reported that Shawntain T. Jackson, 51, was arrested on February 1, 2025, after an accident on State Route 79 in the Town of Hector. Authorities say Jackson was found to have a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) above .08 and was also charged with vehicle and traffic law violations.

Jackson was issued Uniform Traffic Tickets and is set to appear in the Town of Hector Court at a later date.
