A 32-year-old Ithaca man has been arrested following a reported domestic incident in the Town of Cortlandville, according to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say Chad F. Murray, of Lake Street in Ithaca, was taken into custody on February 24, 2025, in connection with an incident that occurred two days earlier. Deputies responded to a call at approximately 8:10 p.m. on February 22, where it was determined that Murray allegedly subjected two individuals to unwanted physical contact and restricted the movement of one of them.
Murray was not present when deputies arrived at the scene, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant. He was later located, arrested, and processed before being arraigned in Cortlandville Town Court on February 24 at 11:30 a.m. Following his arraignment, he was released on his own recognizance.
Murray faces charges of second-degree unlawful imprisonment, a misdemeanor, along with two counts of second-degree harassment, which are violations. He is scheduled to return to Cortlandville Town Court for his next appearance on April 2, 2025, at 11:30 a.m.
