Interstate Fugitives Arrested at Eastview Mall
Further investigation revealed that the suspects were wanted in connection with several organized larceny cases in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. All three were identified as fugitives from justice.
Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested three individuals on February 14, 2025, following an investigation into a theft at Walmart in Victor. Karina Echegaray-Polo, 27, and Jose Alberto Ortiz-Pariona, 33, both from Paterson, NJ, along with Josue Alberto Fernandez, 28, from Queens, NY were taken into custody and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny.
The incident began when the suspects allegedly worked together to steal a wallet from a customer’s purse at Walmart, located at 441 Commerce Drive in Victor. Authorities say the group then attempted to use the stolen credit and debit cards to make purchases at Eastview Mall. Deputies intercepted the individuals in the Eastview Mall parking lot, where they were taken into custody without incident.
Further investigation revealed that the suspects were wanted in connection with several organized larceny cases in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. All three were identified as fugitives from justice in those states.
The suspects were transported to the Ontario County Jail, where they are being held pending further legal proceedings.
