Geneva Man Charged with Petit Larceny Following Lyons Aldi Theft

A Geneva man has been charged with petit larceny following an investigation into a reported theft at the Aldi supermarket in Lyons, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the store after employees reported that a man, later identified as 26-year-old Joseph M. Gonzalez, allegedly concealed items in his jacket and left without paying.

Authorities located Gonzalez and took him into custody. He was processed at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and released with an appearance ticket. Gonzalez is scheduled to appear in Lyons Town Court at a later date to respond to the charge.
