A Geneva man was arrested Sunday night following an alleged break-in at a local hotel, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a 911 call at 9:20 p.m. on March 16 at America’s Best Value Inn on State Route 5 and 20 in Geneva. Upon investigation, authorities determined that Therian D. Atkins, 39, had unlawfully entered a guest’s room and allegedly attempted to force sexual intercourse with the victim.
Atkins was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Ontario County Jail. He is facing charges of second-degree burglary and first-degree attempted rape. Officials said he is expected to be arraigned Monday morning.
