Four Wayne Wrestlers Qualify for State Championships

The championship event is scheduled to take place the weekend of February 28 at the MVP Arena in Albany.

Four members of the Wayne Central School District wrestling team have earned spots in the New York State Wrestling Championships following strong performances at the Super Sectionals on February 15.

Braiden Salter, Aidan Lestrange, Kurt Ziegler, and Avery Bustamante secured their places in the upcoming state tournament, where they will compete against top wrestlers from across New York. The championship event is scheduled to take place the weekend of February 28 at the MVP Arena in Albany.

These student-athletes have demonstrated skill and dedication throughout the season, and their achievements have earned them the opportunity to represent Wayne Central on a statewide level.
