Firefighters Contain Vehicle Fire in Canandaigua, No Injuries Reported

Emergency crews responded to a vehicle fire at Golf Beach Shores on State Route 364 in Canandaigua on Monday evening.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and the Canandaigua Fire Department arrived at approximately 6:23 p.m. after receiving a report of a vehicle fire. Julie Elder, 56, had just arrived at the location when she noticed smoke and flames coming from the engine compartment of her vehicle.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, which was primarily contained to the engine area. No other vehicles or structures were damaged, and no injuries were reported. Authorities stated that the fire does not appear to be suspicious but remains under investigation.
