Wallington Engine Company, along with units 6 Truck, 39 Engine, and 40 Engine, were dispatched around 6:30 p.m. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered an active chimney fire with some extension into the structure.
A rapid response and initial attack by crews successfully extinguished the flames before the fire could spread further. No major damage was reported, and no injuries have been disclosed at this time.
