Firefighters Contain Blaze at Brookside Apartments in Canandaigua

Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including Canandaigua Fire, Cheshire Fire, Canandaigua Ambulance, and the Ontario County Fire Coordinators.

Emergency crews responded to an early morning fire on Conifer Drive in Canandaigua on January 24, after an outdoor brush fire spread to a nearby apartment building.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and fire crews arrived at 2890 Conifer Drive, Apartment 101, around 7:00 a.m., where they found smoking mulch and a fire beginning to spread to the north wall of the storage area. Firefighters acted quickly to contain the flames and prevent further damage.

Authorities have not reported any injuries or further damage to surrounding structures. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
