Felony Charges for Farmington Man Accused of Punching Mirror off Car
Deputies determined that he allegedly punched the driver’s side mirror off a Subaru Crosstrek while on the road. The reported damage exceeded $250, which elevated the charge to a felony.
A Farmington resident has been arrested in connection with a criminal mischief case stemming from an incident last fall, according to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities reported that Dominic Marciano Rivera, 19, was taken into custody without incident on January 18, 2025, at approximately 1:55 p.m. He faces a charge of third-degree criminal mischief, a felony.
The arrest follows an investigation into an incident that occurred on October 30, 2024, on Outhouse Road in the Town of Canandaigua. Deputies determined that Rivera allegedly punched the driver’s side mirror off a Subaru Crosstrek while on the road. The reported damage exceeded $250, which elevated the charge to a felony.
Following his arrest, Rivera was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear before Canandaigua Town Court at a later date.
