A 34-year-old Elmira man has been arrested on multiple warrants tied to controlled substance-related offenses, the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Daniel C. Comer was taken into custody on February 17, 2025, after authorities determined he had an outstanding bench warrant for failure to appear on criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. The warrant was issued by Southport Town Court on December 5, 2024.
Comer was arraigned in Southport Town Court and remanded to the Chemung County Jail. Additionally, he had an active arrest warrant from the Elmira City Court on separate controlled substance-related charges, including criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and a class A misdemeanor. Comer was issued an appearance ticket for the Elmira City Court case at a later date.
