Early Morning Fire in Victor Quickly Contained, May Have Been Caused by Boot Dryer
According to officials, the fire is believed to have been caused by a boot dryer that caught fire inside the garage.
Emergency crews responded to an early morning structure fire on Sunday at a residence on Abby Way in the Town of Victor. Authorities say the fire originated in the home’s attached garage but was quickly contained, preventing further damage to the living areas.
Ontario County Sheriff's deputies were the first to arrive at the scene, where they worked to manage the fire until the Victor Fire Department took over. Firefighters from Victor, Fishers Fire Department, and Victor Farmington Ambulance also responded, along with Ontario County Fire Coordinator Scott De Cook.
According to officials, the fire is believed to have been caused by a boot dryer that caught fire inside the garage. While the flames damaged the interior of the garage, they did not spread to the rest of the house. No injuries were reported.
The incident remains under review by fire investigators.
