Authorities are investigating a single-vehicle crash that resulted in injuries early Saturday morning on Newark Marion Road in the Town of Palmyra.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, the crash occurred at approximately 7:23 a.m. when a vehicle driven by Zyler Reeves, 18, of Walworth, left the east side of the roadway, struck a fence, and continued north before colliding with a tree. The impact caused the vehicle to overturn onto its side.
Reeves sustained injuries in the crash, including complaints of a broken wrist. He was transported by ambulance to Newark Wayne Hospital for treatment. The sheriff’s office stated that the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
Emergency responders from the Palmyra Fire Department Rescue 9, East Palmyra Fire, Finger Lakes Ambulance 5, and Ricci’s Tow assisted at the scene.
Authorities have not released further details at this time.
