A driver was hospitalized following a single-vehicle crash on Paddy Lane in the Town of Ontario, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say a 60-year-old Marion woman was driving eastbound on Paddy Lane when she reportedly suffered a medical emergency, causing her vehicle to veer off the roadway. The car struck a speed limit sign before colliding with a house, where it came to a stop.
Deputies arriving at the scene found the woman unconscious but breathing. She was transported to Rochester General Hospital by Ontario Ambulance for medical treatment.
A 63-year-old woman was a passenger in the vehicle and was reportedly uninjured in the crash.
Emergency crews from Ontario Fire, Ontario Ambulance, Western Wayne Ambulance, and PJ Radiator Towing assisted at the scene.
