Driver Airlifted by Mercy Flight After Truck Crashes Into Tree, Catches Fire in Arcadia

A man was seriously injured in a crash on Clark Road in the Town of Arcadia on Sunday afternoon, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities reported that a Chevrolet Colorado left the roadway, struck a tree, and caught fire. The driver, identified as 47-year-old Brent Heidrick, sustained multiple severe injuries and was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital via Mercy Flight.

Emergency crews from the Marbletown Fire Department and Wayne County EMS assisted sheriff’s deputies at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
