A Sodus man has been arrested following an investigation into a reported domestic incident, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies took 29-year-old Ryan J. Sauer into custody on March 14 after an investigation into the incident. Sauer was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Authorities allege that Sauer violated an active stay-away order of protection by being at the same residence as the victim. He is also accused of preventing the victim from calling 911.
Following his arrest, Sauer was transported to the Wayne County Jail, where he will remain in custody until his arraignment. He is scheduled to appear in Sodus Town Court at a later date to respond to the charges.
