Crossover Meats Expands to Walmart, Bringing Hybrid Meat Products to More Shoppers
Crossover Meats, a company specializing in blended meat products, has expanded its retail presence by launching in more than 300 Walmart stores across Louisiana, Texas, and Southern California. The company’s Crossover Blends™ Chicken+Beef and Chicken+Pork patties aim to provide consumers with a lower-fat, lower-calorie alternative to traditional beef while maintaining a similar taste and texture.
The expansion into Walmart follows the brand’s previous rollouts at Giant Food, The GIANT Company, and Food Lion, increasing its total retail footprint to over 1,700 stores nationwide.
Crossover Meats claims its products use up to 50% less land, 40% less water, and generate up to 50% fewer greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional beef. The company’s founder and CEO, Michelle Adelman, emphasized the importance of providing a more sustainable meat option that remains affordable for everyday consumers.
“Walmart is where America shops, and we’re thrilled to bring Crossover Blends™ to more families looking for a better way to eat,” Adelman said. “We want to make the sustainable choice an everyday choice.”
According to Crossover Meats, each serving of its blended meat patties delivers 32 grams of protein and 20% of the recommended daily iron intake, while reducing fat and calories compared to traditional beef. The company also highlights the convenience of its products, which can be cooked from frozen in about 12 minutes, making them a quick option for meals such as burgers, tacos, and pasta dishes.
Crossover Blends™ Chicken+Beef and Chicken+Pork patties are now available in the frozen meat section at select Walmart stores. Customers can check availability using the store locator on the company’s website.
