A Cortland County man has been arrested and charged with multiple felony counts related to allegations of sexual abuse spanning several years, according to a press release from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office.
Lee A. Wagner, 33 of Cold Brook Road, was taken into custody on February 13, 2025, following an investigation into allegations of sexual abuse involving two victims known to him. Authorities allege the incidents occurred between 2019 and 2024 at an undisclosed location in the Town of Scott.
The investigation began in January 2025 when the sheriff’s office received a report of the alleged abuse. According to the sheriff’s office, Wagner subjected one victim to inappropriate sexual contact from 2022 to 2024. A second victim was allegedly subjected to inappropriate contact from 2019 to 2024.
Wagner has been charged with multiple felony counts, including predatory sexual assault, first-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse, and two counts of first-degree criminal sexual act. He is also charged with second-degree assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and forcible Touching.
Following his arrest, Wagner was arraigned through the Centralized Arraignment Process on February 13 and was remanded to the Cortland County Jail without bail. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Scott Court on February 18, 2025, at 7:00 PM.
Authorities have not released additional information regarding the identities of the victims or the specific circumstances surrounding the allegations.
This case remains under investigation.
