A Corning resident has been arrested on multiple charges, including robbery and burglary, following an incident at a retail establishment in the Town of Corning, according to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested Louis A. Paulo, 55, of Kings Circle, Corning, on March 5, 2025, after responding to a reported domestic incident. Authorities allege that Paulo unlawfully entered or remained inside the establishment and then forcibly took property from another individual.
After leaving the scene, Paulo was located by deputies near his residence and taken into custody. He has been charged with burglary in the third degree and robbery in the third degree, both classified as Class D felonies, as well as petit larceny.
Following his arraignment in Centralized Arraignment Court, Paulo was remanded to the Steuben County Jail without bail.
Authorities have not released further details about the incident. The case remains under investigation.
