A Connecticut man is facing a charge of driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop in Ontario County.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted a traffic stop early Monday morning on State Route 96 in the Town of Farmington. Authorities say they pulled over a 2024 Volkswagen Jetta that was unlawfully parked along the roadway.
The driver, identified as 70-year-old Michael Callahan of South Greenwich, Connecticut, was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated, according to investigators.
Callahan was issued uniform traffic tickets and released. He is scheduled to appear in Farmington Town Court at a later date to respond to the charge.
No additional details were provided regarding Callahan’s blood alcohol content or whether field sobriety tests were administered.
