A Clyde woman was arrested early Friday morning after authorities say she drove off the roadway while allegedly intoxicated.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to an incident on Maple Street Road in the Town of Sodus, where a vehicle had gone off the road. Following an investigation, deputies arrested Samantha Jones, 29, of Sodus Street in Clyde.
Officials allege that Jones was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. She was taken to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, where she voluntarily submitted to a breath test. Authorities reported that her blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was measured at 0.10, above the legal limit of 0.08.
Jones was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a BAC of 0.08 or greater, and failure to maintain her lane. She was released with appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Sodus Town Court on April 7 at 10 a.m. to address the charges.
