The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a Clifton Springs man on multiple charges, including felony driving while intoxicated and speed not reasonable and prudent.
According to authorities, Alberto A. Mejia, 31, of West Main Street in Clifton Springs, was taken into custody after allegedly driving his vehicle off the roadway while intoxicated. Deputies transported Mejia to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, where a breath test reportedly indicated a blood alcohol concentration of 0.14%.
Officials stated that Mejia has two prior DWI convictions within the last 10 years, which elevated the current charge to a felony offense. He was transported to the Wayne County Jail and is scheduled to appear for central arraignment on February 16, 2025, at 7 a.m.
