Canandaigua Man Arrested in Hopewell on Child Endangerment Charges

A Canandaigua man was arrested on February 20 in the Town of Hopewell following an investigation into an alleged domestic incident, according to authorities.

Dillon James Whitbeck, 20, was taken into custody at his residence and charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Law enforcement officials stated that the charges stem from a reported physical altercation between Whitbeck and his girlfriend, which was witnessed by two children under the age of 17.

Following his arrest, Whitbeck was transported to the Ontario County Jail for CAP arraignment. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Hopewell Court at a later date to respond to the charges.
