Canandaigua Man Arrested for DWI After Vehicle Found in Ditch

A Canandaigua man was arrested on Saturday night for allegedly driving while intoxicated after authorities discovered his vehicle in a ditch.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a report of a vehicle off the road on County Road 46 in the Town of Canandaigua around 11:01 p.m. on March 16. Upon arrival, they found a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox in the ditch and identified the driver as 35-year-old Anthony J. McDonald of Jefferson Avenue, Canandaigua.

Following an investigation, deputies determined that McDonald was intoxicated and took him into custody. He was issued traffic tickets for driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right. McDonald is scheduled to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date to respond to the charges.

Authorities did not report any injuries or additional details about the incident.
