Canandaigua Man Arrested for DWI Following Traffic Stop in Schuyler County

According to the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office, Peter D. Rayburn, 69, was arrested on February 1, 2025, after deputies conducted a stop on County Road 16 in the Town of Dix.

A Canandaigua man was taken into custody earlier this month following a traffic stop in Schuyler County.

According to the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office, Peter D. Rayburn, 69, was arrested on February 1, 2025, after deputies conducted a stop on County Road 16 in the Town of Dix.

Authorities say Rayburn was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Driving with a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) above .08, and other vehicle and traffic law violations.

Rayburn was issued Uniform Traffic Tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Dix Court at a later date.
