Canandaigua Man Arrested Following Investigation Into Sexual Assault Allegations

A Canandaigua man was taken into custody Thursday in connection with a sexual assault investigation led by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

According to authorities, Daniel L. Sevigny, 43, was arrested around 5:30 p.m. on April 10 at 3045 County Complex Drive. The arrest follows an investigation into a series of incidents alleged to have occurred between January and February of this year.

The Sheriff’s Office reported that the investigation involved claims of non-consensual sexual activity involving a female victim. Sevigny is facing a charge of first-degree rape.

He was arraigned at the Ontario County Centralized Arraignment facility following his arrest.
