Buffalo Woman Charged with Petit Larceny at Clarence Walmart
A Buffalo woman is facing a petit larceny charge following an incident at the Walmart on Transit Road in Clarence on March 28.
New York State Police say troopers from the SP Clarence barracks responded to the store around 1:48 p.m. after receiving a report of a shoplifting complaint. According to investigators, store loss prevention personnel observed 25-year-old Tyonia R. Welch allegedly conceal merchandise and exit the store without paying.
The items taken were valued at $75.99. Troopers located Welch in the parking lot, where she was taken into custody and transported to the SP Clarence station for processing.
Welch was released with appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Clarence Town Court in April.
