A Buffalo man has been sentenced to time served and three years of supervised release after being convicted of illegally possessing firearms.
Henry Ford, 37, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge John L. Sinatra, Jr. after being found guilty of being a felon in possession of a firearm. Ford had served approximately 11 months in custody before sentencing.
The conviction stemmed from an April 2024 search conducted by law enforcement at Ford’s Erb Street residence and on his person. Authorities recovered a loaded handgun from Ford’s pocket, later determined to have been reported stolen in Georgia in 2019. A second firearm, also reported stolen, was found inside the residence along with ammunition.
Ford had previously been convicted of a felony in Erie County Court in 2008, which legally prohibits him from possessing firearms.
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Buffalo Police Department.
