A Binghamton woman has been sentenced to eight years in federal prison after pleading guilty to charges of escaping from custody and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
Jade A. Pittsley, 34, was sentenced by United States District Judge Mae A. D’Agostino. In addition to her prison term, she will serve a four-year period of supervised release following her incarceration.
According to court documents and statements made in court, Pittsley had been serving a federal prison sentence for a previous drug-related offense involving methamphetamine. In November 2023, she was placed under supervision at a halfway house but failed to return as required. Law enforcement located her days later and found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in her possession.
The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the U.S. Marshals Service, with assistance from the Broome County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Mikayla Espinosa and Kristen Grabowski prosecuted the case.
Officials emphasized that the sentencing reflects continued efforts to enforce federal laws related to drug offenses and supervision violations.
