A Bath woman has been arrested following an investigation into an alleged violation of an order of protection, according to the Steuben County Sheriff's Office.
Amanda L. Smith, 33, was taken into custody on March 21 after authorities responded to a complaint in the Town of Bath. Officials allege that Smith unlawfully entered a residence despite a standing order of protection and intended to commit a crime.
Smith has been charged with second-degree burglary, a class C felony, and second-degree criminal contempt. She was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Court and was remanded to the Steuben County Jail on $500 bail.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office acknowledged the Bath Village Police Department for assisting in the arrest and investigation.
