Barn Fire in Gorham Destroys Structure, No Injuries Reported

A barn fire on Lake to Lake Road in the Town of Gorham left the structure fully engulfed in flames on Tuesday afternoon, prompting a multi-agency emergency response.

Ontario County Sheriff’s deputies and several area fire departments responded to the scene at approximately 3:09 p.m. at 3762 Lake to Lake Road. Upon arrival, authorities confirmed that the barn was completely involved in the fire.

No injuries were reported among the residents, but several animals, including peacocks and rabbits, were unable to be safely removed from the structure. Firefighters worked to contain the flames, but there was some damage to a nearby home.

Multiple fire departments assisted in the response, including those from Gorham, Rushville, Stanley, Crystal Beach, and Yates County, along with the Stanley-Hall-Gorham Ambulance service.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, though officials currently believe no foul play was involved.
