Authorities Seek Public’s Help in Forgery Investigation

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying an individual connected to an ongoing forgery investigation.

According to authorities, the incident occurred on February 27, 2025, at the Canandaigua National Bank located at 1816 Penfield Road in the Town of Penfield. Officials have released a surveillance image of the person they are trying to identify.

Anyone with information about the individual or the case is encouraged to contact the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office by emailing mcsotips@monroecounty.gov and referencing case number #25-037024. Officials note that the tip email is not actively monitored for emergencies, and anyone witnessing a crime in progress should call 911.
