Author Marilyn Higgins to Present Book Reading and Signing in Palmyra

The event will celebrate the release of her new novel, Dreams of Freedom.

Author Marilyn Higgins will host a book reading and signing event at the Alling Coverlet Museum on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. The event will celebrate the release of her new novel, Dreams of Freedom.

The book follows the journey of Aileen O’Malley, a 22-year-old Irish immigrant in search of her indentured father and kidnapped younger siblings. Higgins will read an excerpt from the novel and sign copies for attendees.

Admission is free for Historic Palmyra members, while a $5 donation is suggested for non-members. Refreshments will be served following the reading in the museum’s kitchen. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m.

The Alling Coverlet Museum is located at 122 William St., Palmyra.
